A loan app deposited ?120,000 into my sister's account even though she never requested it.
She had borrowed money from them in the past and always repaid it before the due date.
Early last month, she received an alert that ?120,000 had been credited to her account. When she checked, she discovered that the money came from the same loan app she had used before.
She contacted customer support and told them that she had never applied for the loan and wanted to return the money.
They told her that she would still have to repay it with ?25,000 interest when it became due.
